This Is Me

"If most of us are ashamed of shabby clothes and shoddy furniture, let us be more ashamed of shabby ideas and shoddy philosophies.... It would be a sad situation if the wrapper were better than the meat wrapped inside it."
-Albert Einstein

So, this is the third fashion blog I've tried to start, and since I am fairly new to the world of blogging, I wanted to get it right. There are so many amazing blogs out there (along with some really terrible ones) and I wanted to find a way to make mine unique to me and what I'm all about. Like most twenty-something year old girls in this world, I love fashion. I love almost everything about it: The photographs, the designers, the shows, the fantasy. I love that fashion can be a vehicle for self expression on one day and a wall to hide behind the next. It is always changing, constantly evolving with my every mood and adapting to each walk of life.
What I love most about fashion are the stories. I believe that many designers are true artists at heart and that their work reflects a certain cultural ideology. Clothes can say so much about a person; They can speak to what a person's religious or political affiliations are, they can reveal personal tastes in music, and they can even say "I don't give a fuck about fashion." Clothes are like tiny windows to our souls and if you look close enough you can discover the humanity in people simply by observing what they wear.
